The following information is an archive of past blogs. Enjoy!!! My Monthly Blog May 21, 2008 Memorial Day weekend is here and so is the start of the summer (assuming we don't get more snow). We are kicking off the summer season with a number open houses. The following is our agenda for the weeken, stop in and say hello.
I am pleased to announce that I now have 2 amazing new agents working with me here at Elkhorn Properties and between the 3 of us we without a doubt cover every aspect there is to cover in Real Estate in the Estes Park Valley. Lori Smith is an e-PRO designee and is working on her ABR, Accredited Buyers Representative. She has an incredible track record helping her clients find exactly what they are looking for in a home. She is very detail oriented, honest and friendly, and doesn't miss a beat when it comes to helping you find the perfect home. Robin Serafini has been selling homes in the Estes Valley for 15 years now and is our veteran broker. If there is a question about a property that no one else can answer more than likely Robin can. Robin is a Graduate of the Real Estate Institute and a Seniors Real Estate Specialist making her the ideal candidate for helping all home owners buy and sell real estate
There is a new site online that I think will interest all of you who visit my site. The address is www.destinationestespark.com It is the best place to go for weather, and weather cams in all of the Estes Valley. January 8, 2008

Not a whole lot to report here in Estes this week because I spent too much time sitting behind my desk. There is an exciting new thing to report outside of Estes however that came about from all of the desk time. We here at Elkhorn Properties have been invited to participate in the development of a PGA Signature Golf Course in BAJA California. The course will be the centerpiece of an 800 acre beach resort with its own private bay and landing strip for private planes. So......For all of you snow birds out there here is a chance to purchase your warm winter home at pre-sale pricing in BAJA's newest premier resort. For those of you who don't like BAJA we are also assembling one in Costa Rica. Call us now to learn more. June 5, 2007 summer season here in Estes, the sun is shining (not today) birds are out, and the evenings are staying warmer. To bring in the summer season Elkhorn Properties will be introducing a new approach to viewing Real Estate in the Estes Valley. Starting this weekend will be hosting OPEN HOUSE VAN AND BIKE TOURS every weekend till the summer season ends. For those of you wanting exercise I will lead a scenic bike ride thru the neighborhoods of town opening a handful of houses each week for you all to view. If biking is not your cup of tea, Charlie will have seats available in his van to drive you to the same houses, at the same times. Where I grew up people would do these tours all the time around the holiday seasons, and I used to be dragged onto Greyhound buses with my parents to view some of the fabulous homes of the area (Valley Forge PA). Well, we don't have the Greyhound and probably never will but....... Here's how it will work: Each week Charlie and I will preview listings from all of the office's in town and will formulate what we think are the top ten listings in any given price range. We then will schedule a time with each house and show them to you as a group. Our concept is to provide you with an environment to view homes in Estes with an expert (myself and Charlie), WITHOUT feeling as though you will be pressured into buy something. We just want to provide anyone who participates in this with a tour of our towns neighborhoods and homes, and a sense of having been educated enough to determine if Estes Park is for you or not. Since days and times will vary from weekend to weekend we will require all participants sign up in advance. To book a reservation on the tour and for information on what price range we will be focusing on that weekend email or call us. Also, we will be taking requests on what type of properties you would like to view so be sure to let us know. FYI we also offer private limo tours to any qualified buyer over $700,000 must make reservations in advance for this as well. July11, 2007 So I know it has been a while since my last blog but that is because we have had a really busy summer so far here at Elkhorn Properties. One question I have been getting on our site is where some of our listings are located in town. Here is a helpful hint for all of you viewers. If you go to the featured properties page and hover over the property bubbles you will find the property you are looking for. Then you can click on the hybrid map tab above and a 3D google earth image will appear that allows you to zoom in on the property location and see its surroundings. New listings you may want to pay attention to that will be coming up in the next couple of days are: The Black Dog Inn B&B and 1490 Big Thompson Canyon July15, 2007 Some of you may have noticed that we have added a bunch of information on our home page about Estes Park and the surrounding areas. Some of you may also have noticed that a lot of the information is incorrect just like I have. I will be slowly correcting these things over time and keep everyone informed as we go. I also have noticed that I am having issues with my contact page so if you wish to contact myself or Charlie go ahead and email us directly at mike@elkhornproperties.com or charlie@elkhornproperties.com and we will get back to you ASAP. Up and Coming listings you should know about are:
A custom built Timber Frame home on 1.7 acres on the Fall River that backs up to the National Park. This will be priced at $750,000 and is amazing in design. July 26, 2007 Monsoon season is starting and the afternoon showers are becoming more of a daily routine here in Estes. A quick note on the photo gallery of our site. I promised the photographer recognition for use of his photos. On the top of the photo page you will see his contact information if you are interested in purchasing any of the photos you like. His name is Jason Seaver: Check this one out as well this was 2 days ago in my neighbors front yard. |
